On July 29th, 2016 Disney Interactive announced a timeline for the end of Disney Infinity. The change in leadership could also have led to the decision to put an end to Disney Infinity along with most other Disney-produced games. Previous to this, Disney Interactive was merged into ‘Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media’ in mid-2015. This included closing the development studio Avalanche Software.
